The Lax Audio RS 18 Double bass Speaker is a high-performance subwoofer designed to deliver exceptional low-frequency sound reinforcement. It features two 18-inch long-excursion Neodymium drivers housed in a low-profile cabinet, extending system response down to 30Hz.
A standout feature of the RS18 is NEXO’s patent-pending RAY SUB Technology, which optimizes the positioning and phase relationships of radiating surfaces in vented enclosures. This design ensures efficient summation of rear and front sections over the entire subwoofer bandwidth, providing an average of 5dB gain in the forward direction while reducing sound in the rear direction
The RS18 offers configurable directivity patterns, including a cardioid mode that minimizes rear and side wall reflections, enhancing sound clarity and focus. Aerodynamically profiled vents contribute to a 20dB reduction in noise and improved linearity at high sound pressure levels. With a frequency response ranging from 30Hz to 100Hz and a sensitivity of 105dB, the RS18 is suitable for various professional audio applications.
This subwoofer is ideal for venues, concerts, and events requiring powerful and precise bass performance. Its robust construction and advanced features make it a reliable choice for audio professionals seeking high-quality sound reinforcement.
