The Rode NT-USB is fitted with a cardioid 1.27 cm capsule. It measures 184 x 62 x 50mm and weighs a reassuring 520 grams. The manufacturer specifies a frequency response ranging from 20 to 20000 Hz, a maximum sound pressure level of 110 dB SPL, and a dynamic range of 96 dB. The integrated AD converter works at samples rates of up to 16 bit / 48 kHz. About Rode
Founded in Sydney, Australia in 1990, Rode is a specialist in high-quality studio microphones. With its very first in-house, completely Australian-built model, the NT2 large-diaphragm microphone, the company created a classic which is still produced in its current and enhanced version, the NT2-A. The supplied pop shield is particularly useful when it comes to applications of this kind, since it prevents the unwanted plosive sounds that can easily occur without a filter, and it is simply fixed to the microphone’s base. Of course, the NT-USB itself can be mounted onto any other regular microphone stand, thanks to its standard 3/8″ thread. This allows you to use it freely for any vocal or instrument recording and position it exactly as you need it.
