A Whole New Way to Mix
The Behringer X Air XR16 Tablet-controlled Digital Mixer gives sound teams a flexible way to mix without being tied to a traditional console position. Instead of standing behind a fixed mixer, you can move around the venue and adjust the sound from the audience area. This makes it easier to hear what listeners are hearing and make accurate changes during soundcheck or live performance.
The XR16 is especially useful for churches, small halls, live bands and mobile sound setups where space is limited. Its rackmountable stage-box design keeps the setup clean while giving you full control over inputs, outputs, effects and monitor mixes through the remote app.
8 Midas-Designed Preamps for Clean Audio
One of the biggest strengths of the Behringer X Air XR16 Tablet-controlled Digital Mixer is its eight gain-programmable Midas-designed microphone preamps. These preamps help deliver clear, warm and detailed sound for vocals, speech and instruments. For churches, this means sermons and worship vocals can sound cleaner. For bands, it means microphones and instruments can be captured with better definition.
The mixer also supports line inputs, Hi-Z inputs, main outputs and aux buses, giving users the flexibility to build practical sound systems for different environments.
Key Features of the Behringer XR16
Wireless Control for Live Sound Freedom
The Behringer X Air XR16 Tablet-controlled Digital Mixer includes an integrated Wi-Fi module, allowing you to control the mixer without needing a large external console. With compatible remote apps, you can adjust levels, EQ, effects, aux sends and monitor mixes from different parts of the room. This is a major advantage for live sound engineers who want to tune the system from the actual listening area.
For worship teams and bands, wireless control also makes monitor mixing easier. You can move near the performers, listen to their stage sound and make accurate changes. This improves communication, comfort and confidence during performance.
Effects, Recording and Practical Workflow
The Behringer X Air XR16 Tablet-controlled Digital Mixer gives you access to professional digital processing inspired by Behringer’s X32 technology. It includes built-in effects, EQ tools, dynamics and Real Time Analyzer support, helping users create cleaner and more polished mixes. You can improve vocals, reduce harsh frequencies, control feedback and balance instruments with confidence.
The stereo USB recorder is useful for recording live performances, sermons, rehearsals and events. This makes the XR16 a strong option for churches, schools, bands and content creators who want a simple way to capture audio while still enjoying digital mixing control.
Best Applications
The Behringer X Air XR16 Tablet-controlled Digital Mixer is ideal for churches, live bands, schools, rehearsal rooms, small venues, studios, conferences and mobile event sound. It is perfect for users who need a compact mixer with professional digital features, wireless control and reliable sound quality.
If you are upgrading from a small analog mixer, the XR16 gives you better workflow, cleaner control and more flexibility. It is compact enough for transport, powerful enough for live performance and simple enough for regular sound teams to operate.
